Exploring the parks, gardens and forests of Paris Region
In spring, there’s nothing quite like a walk in the parks and gardens in Paris Region. Start at the Tuileries garden, which extends between the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde. Then, a little further south, wander around the Luxembourg garden, an absolute must when visiting Paris. Head west to the Bois de Boulogne woodland, where you can visit the Bagatelle park.
The Domaine de Sceaux, parc et musée départementaux on the outskirts of Paris is another pleasant place to go in spring. The trees display a whole array of colours, attracting visitors each year who come to admire this fleeting spectacle. A nod to the Japanese tradition of Hanami.

The forests of Paris Region can also be seen in a different light in spring. The buds form, the leaves unfurl and the flowers burst into bloom. Make the most of your hike, family walk or picnic to appreciate all that colour under the first rays of sunshine.

Spring is an invitation to get back to those outdoor activities, and there’s no shortage of solutions for a sporty session in Paris Region. One of the best footraces in Paris Region, the Schneider Electric Marathon of Paris draws thousands of runners and spectators year after year.
If you prefer something more gentle, the banks of the Seine are popular in spring among walkers and cyclists. But there are many other great spots to go running in Paris Region.

Spring is also the season when cultural and sporting events abound in Paris Region. The Roland-Garros tennis tournament is one of them. Last but not least, riding enthusiasts will enjoy the Saut Hermès, a prestigious show-jumping competition you don’t want to miss, held at the Grand Palais.

In spring, experience a night at a museum in Paris Region
Spring marks the beginning of a whole succession of cultural events that bring to life the museums, streets and historic sites of Paris Region. For a start, there’s the European Night of Museums, a precious opportunity to rediscover the Paris Region’s cultural heritage. Strolling through the galleries of the Orsay Museum or exploring Paris at the Carnavalet Museum is a unique experience that attracts many curious visitors each year.

In spring, the Candlelit Evenings at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte are as magical as it gets. As night falls, the gardens are lit up by thousands of candles, creating an enchanting backdrop to your walk or a dinner under the stars.
