Description
Located on Place Vendôme at no. 15, the Ritz Paris is truly one of the capital city’s top luxury hotels. This establishment embodying the elegant French style and savoir-faire is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2023. A legendary luxury hotel inspired by the palaces of Versailles and Fontainebleau. Its elegance, comfort, outstanding gourmet cuisine and faultless standard of service make it a prestigious choice. This is the ultimate venue when it comes to mixing fine dining and architectural grandeur. After all, its kitchens have been graced by a succession of great chefs. Auguste Escoffier was the first. As the most famous chef of his time, deemed the king of cooks, it was he who developed the now inescapable concept of the kitchen squad. The luxury hotel honours him through its Ritz Escoffier cookery school.
The Ritz Paris sets an example
Whether you’re a keen cook or a budding chef, the Ritz invites adults and children inside its own kitchens to learn to cook like a Michelin-starred chef.
At the École Ritz Escoffier, explore the principles behind French gastronomy through cookery and pastry-making classes that teach you to prepare exceptional recipes like foie gras, meat and poultry dishes, seafood and desserts, including cakes and pastries.
Hands-on action in the kitchen, a visit to the market, cookery classes lasting 3 hours, 4 hours or all day, and pastry-making workshops are just some of the options to see behind the scenes of the kitchens of a luxury establishment. And the icing on the cake is that you can invite guests to enjoy your own creations, right here in the restaurant.
These cookery classes are taught by 4 chefs who will reveal their secrets and share with you their favourite recipes and techniques. Each of them is a master of their art, be it pastry-making, sauces or meat cookery. So you’ll be able to learn all the iconic recipes that have built the reputation of this Parisian establishment.
Classes for young and old
At the Ritz Paris, you’re never too young to learn to cook. Young apprentice chefs are invited to join the great gastronomy celebration. Sessions for children aged 6 to 13 years are available for budding chefs, with ‘Toques Junior’ pastry-making classes to have fun as they learn. For the end-of-year festivities, for example, your children can learn to make a mango, passion fruit and vanilla Christmas tree. You can also join them in the kitchen to help with a pastry recipe. Your young cooks will have a great time in the company of the chef and go home with a new qualification.
All classes are delivered in French with simultaneous translation into English.
