Description
At the very heart of the French capital, in the restaurant they have named Dumbo, street food fans Charles Ganem and Samuel Nataf have decided to import a cooking technique from the USA to offer Parisians and visitors from around the world the smash burger. You won’t find any doorstep-sized wedges of steak here, just patty pressed down onto a hot griddle to make it thin and crisp without sacrificing its juice and flavour. Embellished with a traditional ketchup/mustard sauce, beautifully crunchy homemade pickles, ultra-gooey American cheese…all served up with delicious double-cooked fries. The result: the most Instagrammable burger in Paris!
A 300m² terrace in the shade of the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris
This summer, following a partnership last September with Bertrand Grébaut and Théo Pourriat of the Paris restaurant Septime to create an exceptional burger, Dumbo is working with Moma Group to create a summer terrace right next to Paris’s Musée d’Art Moderne. The two partners – working in tandem with Parisian nightlife king Benjamin Patou – proudly present Dumbo Park, a pop-up restaurant and tavern on a 300m² XXL terrace between the Musée d’Art Moderne and Palais de Tokyo in Paris, affording a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
On the menu are the classic dishes that earned Dumbo Pigalle its reputation – the classic cheeseburger and and its sister in an ultra-soft bun – and also an exclusive vegetarian version. And for further novelty, a surprising new ice-cream sandwich has been invented – just in time for the arrival of warmer weather.
The refreshment stall offers a fine selection of chilled natural wines and draft beers – wheat, blond and brown – to refresh you with your favourite thirst-quencher this summer. Not to mention the signature frozen cocktails made with mezcal and tequila, or those famous ice-cream sandwiches…
In terms of its décor, the venue – which is open every day from midday – is designed as a sort of “cross between Pigalle, the Trocadéro and the gardens of the Palais de Chaillot”, with seats modelled on the stools and crates of Dumbo Pigalle, found here amid a structure of wood and antique furniture.
It’s the ideal place to relax on one of the finest terraces in Paris, from 19 May to late September 2021. In the company of friends or even that special someone, enjoy the best burger in Paris or a juicy Montbéliard steak with incredible flavour, while comfortably sipping a drink just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. If you’re a foodie, this is a “hot spot” you can’t afford to miss this summer!
