Description
Vesper… What could be more daring and sophisticated than the iconic cocktail created by James Bond** in Casino Royale as the name of a restaurant? Worthy of London's trendiest addresses, Vesper is the hippest place to be right now. And with good reason: it's the third establishment created by entrepreneur and restaurateur Guillaume Benard, following in the footsteps of his two equally sophisticated big brothers, L'Abstinence and Fitzgerald.
The recipe for success? An exquisite décor, combining retro boudoir and tropical ambience, and top-notch Nikkei cuisine from chef Lucas Felzine, not to mention a stunning cocktail bar and a wild female DJ set to keep the party going all night long.
A setting worthy of the Roaring Twenties
**Just a few minutes' walk from Les Invalides and the Musée de l'Armée, you'll find one of the best restaurants in the area. But beyond a sumptuous meal, you're in for an intense aesthetic and visual experience. Designed by Barcelona architect Làzaro Rosa Violan, the interior immediately sets the tone. Bright red tiles decorating the open kitchen, luxurious tropical tapestry, velvet armchairs, Italian marble floors, mirrors on the ceiling… There you are, transported into the heart of the Roaring Twenties, from your plate to the dance floor.
Two rooms, two atmospheres
Vesper has taken up an ambitious challenge: to combine the calm, hushed atmosphere of a romantic meal with the slightly crazy, festive atmosphere of a group evening. Feel free to book a table for a Sunday brunch** on the restaurant's terrace, or opt for a more intimate dinner** in an elegant and refined setting. And if you're in the mood for a group party, you'll be able to vibrate to the sound of the turntables and the set-list, which is always subtle and offbeat. All in a setting inspired by the finest speakeasies.
Nikkei-inspired cuisine
In a setting like this, you can expect to savour some insanely daring cuisine. The menu, designed by Lucas Felzine, and Mitsuo Miyauchi for the sushi, offers a selection of dishes combining French elegance and the Nippo-Peruvian fusion. Let yourself be tempted by their flagship dish: Peking duck gyozas, which will tantalise the taste buds of everyone who walks through the doors of this restaurant. A la carte or on the menu, enjoy dishes that are as daring as they are mouth-watering: chicken karaage, lobster udon, grilled lacquered octopus… Before sampling a signature cocktail prepared by chef bar-maid Agathe Potel… A Vesper, perhaps?
