Description

Le Meurice Alain Ducasse is excellence itself, the ultimate in French fine-dining. Located within the walls of Le Meurice, the iconic hotel facing the Tuileries Gardens, this restaurant is the expression of a harmonious collaboration between the world-famous chef, Alain Ducasse, and this luxury establishment. Alain Ducasse and his executive chef, Amaury Bouhours, aim to offer a high-quality dining experience that goes way off the beaten track of traditional Michelin-starred gastronomy, to celebrate nature in a lustrous setting.

For Le Meurice, it all began in 1815, when Charles-Augustin Meurice opened an inn in Calais to accommodate English travellers on their way to Paris. The Parisian hotel was established in 1835 and Le Meurice quickly built itself an elegant image of luxury, attracting aristocrats and VIPs. In 2013, the arrival of chef Alain Ducasse opened a new chapter in the restaurant’s fascinating history, which he successfully combined with his avant-garde take on gastronomy.

When classicism meets the 21st century

At Le Meurice Alain Ducasse, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between opulence and sophistication. The interior was designed by Philippe Starck, who took inspiration from the Peace Room at the Palace of Versailles. The room has a Grand Siècle feel. All the elements of classical architecture are present - crystal chandeliers, old mirrors, gilt decoration and period paintings - to take you back to the days of kings. But certain details, like the white leather upholstery, glass sculpture and geometric mosaic, also add a modern touch and provide new momentum.

Not to mention the amazing view of the Tuileries Gardens, a magical backdrop to a unique experience that offers a feast for the eyes as well as your tastebuds.
Better still, this restaurant invites you to the Chef’s Table, a private area where you can see what’s going on in the kitchen and get top tips first-hand from Amaury Bouhours and his team of chefs. Lots to see, savour and discuss!

A starry menu that keeps up with the times

At Le Meurice Alain Ducasse, the cuisine is an ode to French culinary tradition, boldly revisited with a modern twist by the chef, Amaury Bouhours. An approach that brilliantly combines the technical precision of gourmet cooking and the authenticity of the ingredients, all carefully selected from the best producers.

The seven-course ‘Collection’ menu is an opportunity to find out what Michelin-starred cuisine is all about, as each dish has a story to tell. A story of passion for the authentic taste of the terroir.

This extends to the wine list too, which celebrates the vineyards of France in all their diversity. You'll be spoilt for choice, between the great classics and lesser-known vintages made by winegrowers who innovate, not forgetting a few gems from other European countries. An unequalled dining experience based on a mix of creative freedom, technical excellence and a desire to honour the culinary heritage.

Excellent service and food without frills

Le Meurice is a restaurant apart, but it isn’t just thanks to the food and the atmosphere. The service is also mastered to perfection. Attentive to every detail, the staff ensure you enjoy an experience you’ll never forget. Friendly yet impeccable, the service makes all the difference.

Despite the star-studded menu (two stars in the Michelin Guide), the food comes without the superfluous frills. The essentials, freedom, nature and authenticity. That’s what the chefs Ducasse and Bouhours are all about.
To round off your meal, the trompe-l’œil desserts by the pastry chef, Cédric Grolet, are a delight.

Treat yourself to the pleasure of dining at the very best restaurants of the Paris Region.
