Le Fumoir
Description
Founded over twenty years ago, Le Fumoir is no longer, as its name might suggest, a smoking room – but it has retained the authentic ambiance of a refined gentlemen’s club, with its dark woodwork and predominantly black and camel colour scheme, its mahogany counter (brought over from Philadelphia, where it adorned a famous speakeasy during the Prohibition era!) and its lounge-library replete with hundreds of books. It makes the perfect refuge in midwinter, and boasts a particularly enticing terrace for sunny days, with its typically Parisian Drucker rattan chairs and its majestic view over the vast colonnade of the Louvre, a masterpiece of French architecture.
Le Fumoir, from morning till night
In short, this place has a lot going for it, and can satisfy all your appetites, be it morning coffee, afternoon tea or an evening cocktail under the aegis of renowned mixologist Éric Chartron, not forgetting, at mealtimes, the food of Henrik Andersson, who has created a delicious Scandinavian-inspired menu. The Sunday brunch, in particular, is all the rage!
