Description
The inn sits at the foot of the renowned bouldering landscapes of the Forest of Fontainebleau, welcoming climbers, boulderers, hikers, walkers and horse riders to the dining room or terrace all year round (except on Mondays and Tuesdays) for a welcome break surrounded by nature.
The Chalet Jobert is home to the Restaurant de la Dame Jouanne, named after the world-famous area of the forest that is home to some of its biggest boulders. Fresh ingredients are used to make traditional dishes, with meals ranging from €20 to €30 in price.
Examples include seasonal vegetables, a hand-cut Charolais beef tartare or Filbois lamb – and for something sweet to finish, an “île flottante comme ma grand-mère” (Grandma’s floating island) or a rum baba infused with lemon thyme. These are classic dishes, done well, that will make your mouth water!
