Yann Couvreur has no lack of ideas when it comes to concocting the finest, most indulgent pastries. A chef by training, he wants to cultivate sweetness just as he would cook meat or simmer vegetables for a long time.

The result: pastries that are gloriously crunchy! After having made his mark as a pastry chef in renowned restaurants, he decided to establish himself in Paris, first by opening two local pastry shops (in the 4th and 10th arrondissements) and then by setting up shop in the gourmet area of the famous Galeries Lafayette.

Here as elsewhere, his offerings are willingly classic, since the young talent knows that pastry has its immutable rules. So we can feast on old favourites we’ll never get enough of, such as kouign-amann, madeleines, fraisiers, brioche or kouglof. He also serves savoury lunch options (salads, quiche, sandwiches) and an inspired brunch on Sunday. A top-notch bakery.
