The Soisy-sur-École Glassmaking Workshop
Description
The Soisy-sur-École Glassmaking Workshop has been unveiling the magic of hand-blown glass since 1978.
Ancestral know-how
A glass garden in the workshop’s park immerses you straight into this creative universe which showcases the expertise of glass masters.
At the entrance to the workshop, the learning area provides key information on glass. A little further on, two passionate glassmakers work in full view of the public during the shop’s opening hours. In the workshop, Fréderic and Florian bring glass to life, from gathering it to its baking. It is quite something to watch the hot glass blow up simply as a result of their blowing and take shape thanks to just a few rudimentary tools!
You can discover their creations in the shop. They are just as skilled at producing utilitarian objects such as plates, tumblers, jugs, decorative objects, vases and lamps as they are at creating unique works of art, including vases with mysterious decorations made of glass flowers, giant fruit, and so on.
Their imagination knows no bounds!
