Rosa Bonheur à l'Est
Description
Following on from Rosa Bonheur sur Seine, Rosa Bonheur à l’Ouest, and not forgetting the legendary Rosa Bonheur des Buttes Chaumont, the amazing Rosa Bonheur team are setting up a fourth bar in a waterfront setting on the edge of the Lac des Minimes, in the Bois de Vincennes woods.
The recipe for success remains the same: home-made savoury and sweet tapas, pizzas from a wood oven, oysters and other delicacies, red and white wines from Camargue, rosé wines from the Var, and Champagne; and most of all the spirit of the Camargue, fun and dancing; in short, full-on festivity.
A jewel and a classified Historic Monument
The Chalet de la Porte Jaune, a stone’s throw from the Château de Vincennes, is where Mimi and her companions have chosen to make their new home. This former hunting lodge, on the former site of the Les Minimes convent, on a charming island at the heart of the Bois de Vincennes, was built in 1860 by Baron Haussmann at the request of Princess Eugénie.
Two annexe buildings complete the location: a small “farmhouse” intended as a winter garden and the 1,000 m² belvedere for dancing all night, with a view across a park with trees and flowers.
So… As you can see, the Rosa team is still coming up with the goods, and we love it!
