Description

Take a plunge into the fascinating world of Pablo Picasso with the immersive exhibition Picasso, art in motion at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris.

This unique experience invites you to explore the many facets of this creative genius, painter, sculptor, engraver, ceramist and theatre designer.

An immersive, sensory experience

The exhibition offers a captivating journey that brings together images of works, photos and videos, allowing visitors to feel the boundless energy of an artist who never stopped reinventing his art.

Thanks to monumental digital projections on the walls of this former foundry, Picasso's masterpieces come to life before your very eyes, accompanied by music and light, for a total immersion in his creative universe.

A journey through the history of art

Co-founder of cubism and considered to be the father of modern art, Picasso constantly questioned the perception of reality, challenging the artistic canons of his time. The exhibition traces his career from his native Spain to France, where he spent most of his life. You'll wander through Spanish arenas, plunge into the nightlife of Parisian cabarets, and be confronted by the shapes and colours of Demoiselles d'Avignon and the striking force of Guernica.

An innovative digital creation

This new digital creation, created in collaboration with Picasso Administration, is inspired by the constant evolution of Picasso's work. In a world populated by circus artists, musicians and muses, the characters observed by the artist become surreal creatures, both familiar and strange.

The exhibition highlights the various techniques explored by Picasso: engraving, sculpture, paper and glue, assemblages, folding and ceramics. You'll discover his passionate and committed works, presented in monumental proportions, and be able to get as close as possible to the artist's creative gesture.

The exhibition Picasso, Art in Motion is presented in a loop with Rousseau, a world of dreams (short programme).
