Description
This light-filled space on the ground floor of the Hôtel de Ville, or the city hall, sells a myriad of souvenirs of Paris. The unique store offers a careful selection of products representative of Parisian heritage, and aims to support emerging designers and local start-ups.
The kingdom of Made In Paris
Here you’ll find souvenir shop classics like a mini Eiffel Tower, but you can also pick up fine tea products by Mariage Frères, or a red chair like the ones in the Place de la République, scented candles named after Parisian neighbourhoods, a range of Vélib products, a wooden toy sailboat to float in the fountain in the Luxembourg Garden, and a huge map of the city to be coloured in. In the book section you’ll find exhibition catalogues from the city’s major museums.
In the information area, take advantage of free Wi-Fi to explore the city’s digital services with the aid of the self-service tablets. You’ll be among the first to access upcoming events, passes and invites to cultural events. Next, head toward the temporary exhibits, which showcase local talents, ranging from designers, photographers, to journalists and more. To complete your shopping tour, cross the street for a peak at the ever-fabulous BHV Marais.
