Olympic Café

Although the lively Goutte d’Or district remains relatively undiscovered, it holds inviting hidden gems. One such gem is the Olympic, a lovely bar with live entertainment.

Description

Here, everyone smiles and talks to each another. Perhaps it’s down to the neighbourhood. Inside the venue, with its 1930s decor, there is a long bar and a clock suspended from the ceiling which no longer seems willing to tell the time. The menu, which changes day by day, features dishes from all over the world (tandoori rabbit, mint-tea poached salmon, duck leg confit).

In the basement, the atmosphere becomes livelier. The dance and concert hall is filled with a colourful crowd. The venue closely resembles the 18th arrondissement: friendly, colourful and multicultural. The community and cultural structure welcomes artists from all musical backgrounds.

The line-up features a variety of styles and genres. Young artists can often be found at the Olympic, playing French chanson, pop-rock, reggae, jazz or electro. An eclectic line-up that often fills the dance floor.
