Mobster Bar
Description
In the 11th arrondissement there’s a hidden street named Rue Crussol. At night, when all the shops are closed, it seems there isn’t a living sole here. But in the shadow, a telephone booth catches your eye. You pick up the phone and listen. A mysterious voice whispers a single clue in your ear. Will you find the entry code?
Speakeasy and Paris by night
Guarded by an extremely elegant lady and a man who looks like a gangster, this telephone booth serves as the entrance to the Mobster Bar. Once you’ve guessed the code, step inside this speakeasy bar and straight into a past century.
You’re instantly engulfed by the atmosphere: Art Deco style, a maze of mouldings on the low ceiling, vintage decoration, record player and Tiffany lamps… Everything here oozes the 1920s and you’d think prohibition was still here. The intimate atmosphere filled with jazz music only adds to the sense of doing something that isn’t allowed. You'll be intoxicated in secret (and in moderation) at the jazzy Mobster Bar.
A taste of prohibition
The bartenders greet you with a friendly smile. In their waistcoats and taut braces, they look like the highly popular Peaky Blinders. Except that here, they don’t hide razor blades in their caps.
Cocktail fans can choose from eight creations. They cater for all tastes: herbal, exotic and fresh or, on the contrary, rustic, gourmet and tangy… And if the cocktail list doesn’t inspire you, ask one of the bartenders to mix you something different. They may even suggest a cocktail tailored to your preferences. Or you can enquire about their sophisticated spirits.
But there’s also a small selection of beer and red or white wine. It would be a pity though, to not try the cocktails and mocktails.
After raising a glass to the Great Gatsby, try some of the Paris Region’s many other bars .
