Description
In the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Mama Shelter West can be found between the Georges Brassens and Porte de Versailles metro stops. Here, that same Mama Shelter spirit pays a tribute to French nobility. The contemporary setting is warm, colourful and somewhat quirky. A kind of contagious joy fills the immense lobby, a place designed for togetherness. Look around you, at the bar counter running the full length of the room, the table football game, and the ceiling festooned with fairy lights. The ground-floor restaurant serves food from a delicious menu carefully put together with precious advice from none other than the famous triple-starred chef, Guy Savoy.
French gastronomy on the ground floor
With the help of Guy Savoy, the Mama set menu celebrates the delights of French cuisine. The house specialities include Angus flank steak, a succulent roast farmhouse chicken and a delicious hot cookie. Don’t forget the lavish brunch served at Mama’s every Sunday. You’ll really feel at home here, be it in the comfort and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant, on the sunny terrace outside, or sitting at the bar to sip a cocktail lovingly prepared before your eyes.
Here, the desserts are made for sharing by a pastry chef who has won the title of meilleur ouvrier de France. With his French and exotic pastries, Patrice Ibarboure takes every sweet tooth on the ultimate journey. You’ll be spoilt for choice between the tarte tatin, the gingerbread pudding, the chocolate mousse and the champagne and petits fours.
And to beat the Sunday evening blues, head to Mama’s for one of the Sunday live nights. On the programme: a concert, farmhouse chicken and homemade profiteroles, for a comforting experience before tackling the week ahead.
Italy on the rooftops of Paris
The icing on the cake is the view over Paris. Between the pizza oven and the two outdoor areas, Mama invites you to try the restaurant on the 8th floor and the rooftop terrace, said to be the friendliest in the 15th arrondissement.
At any time of year, treat yourself to a taste of the dolce vita, with a stunning view over the rooftops of Paris. Refreshing cocktails, crusty pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven and fresh products straight from Italy, all to **music in a young atmosphere **. Why not unwind playing table football with friends while waiting for your calzone or tiramisu?
