Description

Make my lemonade started out as a blog, created in 2015 by Lisa Gachet, a young designer who had just graduated from Paris's Duperré School of Applied Arts. Offering brand-new, original designs that readers could make themselves (with patterns and step-by-step tips provided), she enjoyed so much success that she turned the concept into a store in autumn 2018. And not just anywhere!

On the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin, in a 350m2 space comprising a pleasant vegetarian cafeteria and a workshop offering a wide range of courses covering the basics of embroidery, the art of hemming, etc. In the store itself, a delightful haberdashery, customers can find patterns and fabrics exclusive to the brand, “ready-made” garments for those who don’t fancy trying their hand at dressmaking, and a hand-picked selection of accessories and decorative objects. The common thread? A penchant for bright colours and the handmade, inviting us to revel in the joys of authenticity.
