Maison de la Photographie - Robert Doisneau
Description
A native of Gentilly, Robert Doisneau quite naturally agreed to give his name to the Maison de la photographie: a space located at the gates of Paris, which organises numerous original exhibitions of photographers from all over the world, including David Seymour and Georges Rodger, two of the founders of the Magnum agency, but also more recently: Serge Clément, Jane Evelyn Atwood, Clemens Kalischer.
Although it wishes to follow in the footsteps of Doisneau, by devoting itself primarily to humanistically inspired photography, the Maison de la photographie revisits all themes and styles, transcending borders and eras. Junior photographers even have a place there, as children from local schools are invited to exhibit their latest work each year.
