Description
Located in the heart of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park, the Maincourt Trail is a discovery walk in the heart of nature.
Clearly developed and marked out, the route offers one or two hours of escape in the great outdoors, discovering the flora and fauna of Yvelines. The safe wooden path passes over the largest marsh in the nature park and runs along the course of the Yvette, before passing a sandstone hillside which was quarried in the 19th century.
Along the trail there are signs that list the plants and animal species you may encounter, providing information about the area’s ecosystem. Several observation points also allow you to see the migratory birds nesting in these wetlands without disturbing them.
Popular with families, this easy stroll is accessible for all, including people with reduced mobility and pushchairs. It’s the perfect destination for your next weekend outing.
