Description
At Nesles, to the east of Paris, is a wildlife park like no other. Is a conservation area for feline species from all around the world.
On this site covering 71 hectares of vegetation, come along and discover more than 140 animals, some small, like cats, and others much larger, like tigers, lions and panthers.
A night in the kingdom of the lions
The big new feature is the opening of the Hotel Le Royaume des Lions right in the heart of the park. Who hasn't dreamt of sleeping opposite lions? No need to travel all the way to the savannah, the Paris Region is where you can book a hotel room with your family or as a couple to enjoy these majestic felines until the end of the night.
As well as sleeping in, you can dine at the restaurant Le Marula and enjoy an uninterrupted view** over this hilly area of over 40,000 m2. And to extend the evening, enjoy a cocktail on the terrace of the Bar Le Tsavo, and indulge in some original flavours.
Customised routes
Discover the Lumigny Safari reserve, located in the heart of the Brie Seine et Marnaise region, 4 circuits on foot to discover the most beautiful felines of Africa, Asia, America & Europe.
Here, everything has been designed to ensure the well-being of the animals, respecting their behaviour and the expression of their natural needs, as well as the quality of the visit (footbridges, viewing points, lookouts, etc.). It's more than just a walk - it's a journey to the heart of an immense estate of woods and meadows, where you can discover wildlife threatened with extinction in the wild.
There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained throughout the day.
Lovers of primates and birds of a thousand colours can round off their visit by adding the Terre de Singes option, whose circuit is on the other side of the road. Here you'll be treated to a number of commented snacks. A change of scenery guaranteed!
What makes this park different however, is that the animals here are not exhibits. Instead, the visitors are invited to “enter their world!” in the words of the site’s founder. The well-being of the animals is seen as an ethical priority here. The animals also have the possibility to protect their privacy in this abundant terrain, where trees, headlands, water features and shelters all help encourage their natural behaviour.
The site also offers a journey through a well-preserved ecosystem and you can take a tour of the park in the Trans’félin tourist train.
The felines are not the only inhabitants the park as some fifty lemurs also live freely on an island. These extremely curious animals will happily get up close to you.
And to round off your visit, children can enjoy stroking goats, ponies or alpacas in the “petting area”.
The Parc des Félins is a moving and successful meeting between man and animals.
