Description
Perched at the very top of the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Les Ombres shares the bold lines of the building, designed by the star French architect Jean Nouvel.
Imagine a vast esplanade overlooking the rooftops of the neighbourhood and topped by a long dome of metal and glass protecting the dining room and kitchen. Whether you’re seated on the terrace or inside, the view of the sky and the nearby Eiffel Tower is unbeatable!
As a nod to Jacques Chirac, a man as erudite as he was a gourmet, and spurred on by Chef Alain Ducasse, Les Ombres and its chef Alexandre Semperé offer a menu subtly paying homage to French cuisine's 100 cult recipes that changes with the seasons, a very modern cuisine, nourished by Mediterranean influences.
An inexhaustible source of inspiration, French culinary heritage is a marvel of inventiveness and ideal terrain for sublimating flavours and offering a contemporary approach to classic refined brasserie dishes.
In the evening, when the monument is decked out in lights, the show is bewitching… And the plate deserves all your attention, because the brigade delivers a nice lesson in contemporary gastronomy.
The Paris Region has many gourmet restaurants to suit any appetite.
