Les Bains

It’s a legendary place. Previously called Les Bains-Douches, this nightclub in the 3rd arrondissement has left its mark on Parisian partying history. It is recognised today for the high standards of its programming and its permanent quest for new sounds.

Between the centre Pompidou and Boulevard Sébastopol, Les Bains has been the life and soul of the Parisian clubbing scene since the 1980s. While the interior decoration is reminiscent of the crazy nightlife scene of its era, the dance floor embraces the musical beats of all the latest trends.

Live concerts, DJ sets… and Starck

At no. 7 Rue du Bourg-l’Abbé in the 3rd arrondissement, this temple of Parisian night life has stood up to the test of time and has even been modernised by the manager, Jean-Pierre Marois, who continues at the helm of the family business. It’s still a moving experience to see the legendary swimming pool, the black-and-white checked floor designed by the illustrious Philippe Starck, the impressive lavastone bar counter and the stage.

The legendary basement venue of the Marais district has been graced by the presence of Yves Saint-Laurent, Jack Nicholson, Andy Warhol, Naomi Campbell and David Bowie. In keeping with this creative vein on which its reputation is built, the nightclub heralds musical eclecticism through its programme that varies week after week. Its succession of live performances, bands and DJ sets attracts the greatest names of the clubbing scene and a trendy clientele.

The historic spa of Paris

In the late 19th century, the Guerbois family had Japanese, Turkish and Russian baths installed in a beautiful Parisian building. A revolutionary move at the time! Especially as these visionaries added other relaxation and wellness facilities: a barber’s, a massage parlour and a restaurant. The Bains-Douches nightclub didn’t open until 1978, and it was an instant success, attracting the greatest names in the worlds of art, fashion, cinema and the media.

Nowadays, Les Bains-Douches has become simply Les Bains, a complex featuring a nightclub (still in the basement), a five-star hotel and a restaurant.
