Description
The Printemps Haussmann department stores' has dedicated a unique space to its circular offer, the 7th floor of its Women's building, closed to customers since the 1960s. A spectacular space of 1300 m² made of glass, light, Eiffel beams and opening onto Paris, its zinc roofs and its most beautiful monuments. Welcome to Le 7ème Ciel which reveals 3 spectacular places!
Hidden from the public for decades, the Binet Dome, is a splendid glass dome with an eventful history. Now reinvested, it sheds light on eco-responsible brands in fashion, beauty, accessories and the home.
In the 8 alcoves of the dome, brands such as Françoise Paris, Tilli, Docteur sneaker, Brut, Bon âge, Made in Design, Relique, Nuovo and Beau are presented. Second-hand products and services, upcycling, customisation or repair, all this is a story of transmission, advice and human contact, to reinvent consumption.
On the large central table of these alcoves, a joyful melting pot of products is revealed (les Résilientes, l'atelier Emmaüs, Déjà, Mesvinyles.fr, Gibert, Comptoir des teintures, Kovska, Furieuse, Mora Approved, Monette, Puzzup, Mas du Roseau, Biovive, Cultiv, Zao Makeup, Flo, Hermetica, Essential Parfum and J.U.S).
The Pont d'Argent, designed in the 1930s, reveals its metal frames and brick walls. A raw décor, the ideal setting for the vintage offer and the second-hand luxury and designer service called "Second Printemps". In partnership with Marie Blanchet, a leading figure in the vintage world, an exclusive selection of meaningful pieces is on display, tracing half a century of fashion history.
For a gourmet break, it's only a step away. The Pont d'Argent opens onto a terrace with an incredible view of Paris: the Opera, the Pantheon, the Eiffel Tower.
To celebrate this new cycle, Printemps has invited artists to take up the theme of circularity. They have taken over different areas of the Printemps store, using their works to give concrete expression to the infinite movement that links shoppers to the objects they choose.
The Laps workshop has created raw installations. Its wooden structures, like an infinite ribbon, guide you to the 7th floor. On the floor under the Binet dome, Jordane Saget, a well-known street artist, has created a carpet with circular shapes that symbolise bridges between people and their environment. The glass and metal roof of the Pont d'Argent is covered with a multitude of origami birds created by the artist Charles Kaisin. And it is street artist Romain Froquet who takes possession of the floor of the Pont d'Argent to create a gigantic carpet with repetitive lines under the sign of infinity, thus creating a unity in the spaces of the Printemps Haussmann.
The curtain has been raised on this new Printemps décor, invested by committed brands and services that reinvent fashion for an eco-responsible society. A second life well underway for this exceptional place!
