Description
Since its opening in 1927, La Coupole has been the beating heart of the Montparnasse district. The greatest names in literature and the arts, from Cocteau to Aragon and Elsa, Beauvoir and Sartre, Malraux, Prévert, Chagall, Picasso and Hemingway, used to meet between those walls to discuss, taste and dance!
A symbol of Paris, the memory and mischief of Joséphine Baker or Serge Gainsbourg still permeate the place!
The delightful Art Deco decor is still majestic with its 32 frescoed columns, geometrically shaped chandeliers and tiles, large bevelled mirrors…
Meet up with friends, couples or families for lunch or dinner, over a glass of champagne or a sweet treat in tea room mode.
The menu explorestraditional French gastronomy with a focus on seafood. Emblematic dishes, such as the unmissable lamb curry Indian style served since the opening, mimosa eggs with truffles, American lobster ravioli. Not forgetting the chocolate profiteroles, strawberry tarts and crèmes brulées.
An authentic French-style brasserie!
