Description

The former Jazz Club Lionel Hampton was named after the great American jazz vibraphonist who performed there many times in the 1980s. The club has been a favourite among jazz musicians ever since it was opened in 1976 by Moustache, a great French jazz drummer.

Located within the Hotel Méridien-Étoile, a stone’s throw from Porte Maillot, the Jazz Club Étoile has played host to some great names, such as Dizzy Gillespie and Cab Calloway. In the early 1980s, this club was one of the first to bring the big names of soul and blues to Paris, such as BB King or Fats Domino, and it was one of Ike Turner’s favourite places.

Today, the 250-seat hall welcomes the great talents of jazz and soul, as well as funk and world music, every Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30pm. You can also sip original cocktails and enjoy top-quality burgers or sushi.

If you like jazz music, indulge yourself with our selection of clubs and concert halls in Paris.
