Description
Ground Control's home has been the former postal sorting office, Halle Charolais, near Gare de Lyon. A multidisciplinary hybrid space, visitors can come here to eat, drink, share some quiet time, listen to a concert or even do some gardening. The big covered hall is a chance to enjoy 4,500 m2 of specialities from all four corners of the globe around big wooden tables. You won't leave on an empty stomach with Mr Zhao's gourmet specialities from Xi'an, the wine bar, Le Décanteur, Table de Nal with its inspired African fusion cuisine or Chilam which serves up completely home-made Mexican fare!
Looking to laze on a sunlounger? The incredible 1,500 m2 garden-terrace awaits. You're sure to unwind in the friendly ambiance, in the shade of a tree or the blazing sunshine.
After a well-deserved rest, take a yoga or photography class or an educational urban farming workshop run by the Fermes de Gally.
Before you leave, go on a shopping spree in Le Ground Magasin, a hybrid boutique where concept store meets cabinet of curiosities. There, you'll find a home-made selection with a bookshop, decorative items, small and large objects and more. It also features a pop-up store which changes with the seasons.
For even more choice, check out the alternative venues that liven up Paris and the surrounding area.
