Description
Meet at the foot of the Cité de la Mode et du Design, half-way between the Jardin des Plantes and the National Library, for a truly memorable excursion on the water. Green River Cruises will take you on original and customised mini-cruises. Its fleet is equipped with pontoon boats, which are small, comfortably-sized, luxurious pleasure boats that make for ideal panoramic views of Paris from the Seine.
Short on time? Opt for a 1-hour guided cruise to the Louvre. As you float down the Seine, you simultaneously step back in time. The lush vegetation thrusting out of the Jardin des Plantes slowly disappears in the distance as you approach the Ile Saint-Louis, and with it, the historic heart of Paris. At the helm, your captain will explain the history of the bridges and buildings you come upon. You’ll get to peer up at the ancient facades in the Marais, and then slowly pull up in front of the majestic home of past French kings – also indicating that it’s time to turn back.
How about a romantic cruise to the Eiffel Tower ! Or, are you planning an evening out with friends ? Take off into the unknown through the locks of the Canal Saint-Martin, for a three-hour cruise with drinks on the water. The Green River Cruises boats are also available for private use. They fit 2 to 12 people and sail up and down the Seine and Canal Saint-Martin day and night.
