Description
After London, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Beijing and Singapore, Dover Street Market, the concept-store founded more than 15 years ago by the cult Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo, along with his partner Adrian Joffe, finally has a Paris branch.
Dover Street Market, a Parisian boutique dedicated to beauty from around the world
Imagine for a moment. A store unlike any other, a stone’s throw from the Musée Picasso, in a quiet street isolated from the restlessness of the Marais…
An immaculate space, with nothing on the floor or the walls, no decoration and no logos…Just a forest of designer columns, punctuated by egg-shaped recesses lined with an ultra-sophisticated selection of fragrances, cosmetics and makeup products from the world over.
The store’s two floors boast products from around fifty brands, from the avant-garde independents to more established names like Comme des Garçons, Gucci and its The Alchemist’s Garden collection, BYREDO, and the very first line of fragrances by Thom Browne.
This unique place, which has broken away from all the conventions of marketing, also offers handpicked gems such as oils from Amazonia, charcoal toothpastes, non-binary essences, magnesium bath flakes, luxury candles, Mac x Comme des Garçons make-up and a host of other treasures that can be found nowhere else.
A must for any self-respecting fashionista.
