Dalí Paris
Description
Nestled in the heart of Montmartre, Dalí Paris has been hosting the largest private collection of works by the Spanish genius for over 25 years. And it is not surprising that the space dedicated to the leading figure of surrealism has been set up in the heart of the charming artists' district, not far from the famous Place du Tertre, the ideal meeting place for the bohemian Montmartre of the 20th century.
Through an entirely visit, discover Dalí's work from a new angle, emphasizing his creativity and artistic technique. The 300 or so artworks present the artist's favourite themes: love, immortality, science and the subconscious mind.
The space has been designed to wander unbridled among theatrical sculptures, dreamlike drawings and engravings, eclectic objects and furniture and surrealist paintings. Dalí's exploratory spirit was inspired by the great masters of the Renaissance, the scientific world and also by the literary works that founded Western culture, such as the Bible or Don Quixote, the novel by Miguel de Cervantes. This melting pot of influences makes the originality of Dalí's work, the most unconventional artist of all.
And for those who would like to own a small part of Dalí's work, the gallery area sells limited edition, numbered and authenticated sculptures with an official certificate and a foundry certificate.
