Description
We can honestly say the Bus Toqué is the best-placed restaurant in Paris, serving starters by the Eiffel tower, main course outside the Louvre and dessert on the Champs-Élysées. This restaurant offers an alternative culinary experience, serving up the very best of Parisian heritage - the city’s monuments and French gastronomy - all in one go.
Take to the heights and enjoy!
There’s nothing more tempting than exploring the districts of Paris while savouring a delicious meal. So head for the Seine to enjoy a river cruise. And on the street? Try the concept invented by Vincent Durand. This racing car enthusiast has plenty of experience. The Auto Passion Café has mixed mechanics and cuisine since 1999 and become the haunt of motor sports fans. In 2018, he did it again with the Bus Toqués. Whatever the weather, his double-decker buses allow you to enjoy unique views of Paris from behind the glass of their panoramic upper deck. And the sights are even more superb when viewed from a height of 4 metres.
2 buses, 2 atmospheres
A new bus was added at the end of 2023, to double the travel possibilities! Take your pick between the Art Déco atmosphere of the Saint-Germain 1920 and the Champs-Elysées decked out in the style of a Parisian café. One departs from the Odéon district, the other from the Champs-Elysées. Whichever you choose, you won’t miss any of the key sights. Les Invalides, Notre-Dame, Place de la Concorde…
Cuisine on the move
And what about the cuisine? French gastronomy takes pride of place in a mix of tradition and modernity. The Bus Toqués serve a single set menu, one at lunchtime, another in the evening and a third that pulls out all the stops during a Paris By Night tour. Not only that but this highly original kids-friendly restaurant has even put together a menu specially for children. As for the wines, you’ll be delighted by the selection from the cellars of the Louvre and the Maison Ô Château. If you’re in more of a champagne state of mind, Then treat yourself to a glass from Maison Ruinart. You do, after all, have a ringside seat from which to admire the City of Light.
