Description

Accessible by public transport, this hiking circuit takes you on a stroll through and around the Forêt Notre-Dame in the Val-de-Marne.

The 13-kilometre route is suitable for everyone and can be walked with friends or family, starting and finishing at Boissy-Saint-Léger train station. Most of the walk takes place in the forest, designed to introduce some green space into an area undergoing rapid urbanization. You will mainly come across oak and chestnut trees, as well as a number of ponds.

On the way, don’t forget to admire the magnificent orchid varieties, each more astonishing than the last, in the greenhouses of Vacherot & Lecoufle in Boissy-Saint-Léger, renowned as Europe’s orchid capital. Alternatively, you can take a trip to the Château de Grosbois and the Musée du Trot. Golf enthusiasts, meanwhile, can get their clubs out and try their luck on the Blue Green course in Marolles-en-Brie.

Plenty of nature and sporting activities on offer, just a few kilometres from Paris!
