Description
Photography, architecture, fashion, art, music, cinema… It’s been more than 20 years since the famous German publishing house opened a store in the picturesque Rue de Buci, in the heart of Saint-Germain des Prés. It was exactly what was needed to keep the spirit of the Latin Quarter alive, between jazz clubs, art galleries and iconic bistros, such as Les Deux Magots and Brasserie Lipp, just a stone's throw away.
Designed by the famous architect Philippe Starck, items are exhibited on elegant lacquered tables and the walls are adorned with photographic prints, giving the shop an art gallery feel.
The Taschen shop offers a wide selection of works of art, some of which, in limited edition, are highly desirable to collectors. Many still remember the success of the 1150-edition Rolling Stones book, which was numbered and signed by the band members.
It is the perfect spot for pleasure or enjoyment, satisfying all tastes and budgets.
