Description

Pierre Hardy has a led a unique life. A former dancer, he attended art school and has an intimate knowledge of human anatomy. His talents as a designer took him to Dior and then Hermès. There, he established himself as an unparalleled designer of shoes, before setting up his own store in the prestigious setting of the Palais-Royal galleries. Hardy’s abundant imagination has seen him turn his hand to everything, from trainers to stilettos, to sandals, boots, flip flops and ballet shoes… Taking his inspiration from sources as varied as street-art, modernist architecture, the pop world of Andy Warhol, folk spirit and retro cars, each collection exhibits highly sophisticated aesthetic choices based around multiple strips of leather and bold colour schemes. Playing with curved and broken lines, scratch and puzzle effects, and intricately bevelled heels and soles, each shoe is a work of contemporary sculpture in its own right! And Pierre Hardy also makes sunglasses, handbags and small leather goods, all just as fun and free-spirited as his footwear…
