Description

Right at the heart of the picturesque market place and only a stone’s throw from the Croix de Chavaux metro stop, Le Chinois is Montreuil’s must-visit bar, gig venue and club. The mood in the former Chinese restaurant is resolutely joyful and good-natured, and people squeeze in from all four corners of the capital to dance, listen to live music, and party all night long. The basic, kitsch decor inherited from its previous incarnations lends itself perfectly to evenings spent with friends off the beaten track, and the eclectic, avant-garde line-up showcases current music including rock, punk and everything in between – even jazz and music from around the world. The venue, which has a capacity of 300, also hosts some wild DJ sets. You’ll find all sorts at Le Chinois, from regular revellers to curious partygoers who are only just discovering what its vibrant bar, reasonably-priced drinks, open stage and German bunker-style smoking area are all about. A great atmosphere and a fun night out is guaranteed!

Paris is full of trendy, cosy, lively bars. The choice is yours!
